Joyful news surrounds South Korean entertainment as acclaimed actor Song Joong Ki and his wife, former British actress Katy Louise Saunders, welcome their second child—a baby girl.
He personally shared the news with his supporters through his account on the Daum fancafe app on November 20, 2024, expressing his gratitude and reflecting on this cherished milestone for their growing family.
"I am currently in Rome, and just over a year ago, I was blessed to meet my first child here. Now, I am incredibly grateful to welcome another beautiful baby," the Vincenzo starrer wrote.
This contradicted earlier speculations that their daughter might be born in South Korea, where the couple recently settled.
Italy holds a deep personal connection for Katy, who spent much of her childhood in Rome.
"Our little princess was born healthy, and both my wife and the baby are resting well," Joong Ki mentioned.
He also took a moment to recognize his supporters, saying, "I firmly believe that all these blessings come from the love and trust of my fans, especially my dear Ki Aile supporters.
"I sincerely thank you all from the bottom of my heart."
This milestone in the couple’s life comes just months after Joong Ki’s agency, HighZium Studio, confirmed the second pregnancy on July 8, 2024.
In a brief yet meaningful statement, the agency announced, "Actor Song Joong Ki is becoming a father of two."
