Vina Morales revealed that daughter Ceana Magdayao Lee remains in touch with her dad, Cedric Lee.
On July 8, 2024, Vina dedicated an Instagram post for Ceana to celebrate her latest academic achievement.
The 48-year-old actress-singer wrote: "Waking up to an email from school with a great news that my baby girl @ceanaml is one of the first honors again [emojis]
"I am a very proud mommy [emojis] and your dad is also proud of you.
"I love you very much anak, Can’t wait to go home [red heart emoji] Animo [green heart emoji]"
The post showed a certificate indicating Ceana as "first honors" during La Salle Green Hills' 3rd trimester periodic awards for this school year.
Amid congratulatory messages from Vina's colleagues and followers, one comment wanted to confirm if Ceana is the daughter of businessman Cedric Lee.
Vina quickly replied, "yes po"
A reply under the comment went further to pry: "yes, Cedric Lee is proud of his daughter, not sure if his daughter is proud of him [laughing emoji]"
Once more, Vina replied, "yes po, she visited her dad na"
Cedric is currently serving his sentence at New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City for the illegal detention of TV host and actor Vhong Navarro.
VINA CHOOSES TO FORGIVE CEDRIC
Vina and Cedric have a co-parenting set-up, as she revealed to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) back in July 2010.
A year into motherhood, Vina was asked about having Ceana in her life.
She related: "I'm peaceful in a way na parang mas magaan ang buhay ko ngayon that I have Ceana. Mas blessed ako.
"Nakita niyo naman ang work ko ngayon, nagpapasalamat ako na maraming dumarating na mga projects.
"At the same time, siguro yung kabuuan ko, mas nakumpleto dahil sa anak ko. Siguro yun yun.
"With or without love life, parang sa tingin ko, mas ang buhay ko ngayon ay may saysay. Kailangan kong pag-igihan para sa anak ko."
In a recent interview with PEP Troika on April 10, 2024, Vina described her co-parenting set-up with Cedric as "okay" and "civil."
She said, "Siyempre, for the sake of our daughter. At saka na-realize ko nung pandemic, parang you know, forgiveness talaga, e.
"You have to forgive. Life is short. So… and it’s also for her own sake, di ba?
"They’re both happy, we’re all happy. I’m happy. So, you know, we’re just enjoying our journey."
