"We're like best friends."
This is how Angelina Cruz describes her relationship with her mom, actress Sunshine Cruz.
Growing up, Angelina recalled Sunshine being strict with her because "ako yung panganay sa dalawang kapatid" and "we're all girls."
Now that Angelina is 22, Sunshine has adopted a more relaxed approach, granting her daughter space to navigate adulthood and explore life.
"I feel like our relationship is dynamic," Angelina told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) recently at an event sponsored by the beauty and skincare brand Dove in Mandaluyong City.
Joining Angelina at the event were fellow brand ambassadors Hannah Pangilinan and Megan Young.

IS ANGELINA CRUZ ENTERING SHOWBIZ FULL-TIME?
Being born into a showbiz family makes many wonder if Angelina intends to follow in the footsteps of her famous parents and relatives.
"Ngayon I'm not really full-time showbiz because I'm a fourth-year college student," said Angeline, who is eagerly anticipating her forthcoming internship as part of her studies.

Angelina emphasized that show business would have to take a backseat in the meantime as she's prioritizing her studies.
But did she and Sunshine discuss the possibility of her pursuing a career in the entertainment business?
"Yes, yes, I've talked about that with her," nodded Angelina.
Did Sunshine offer some advice should she become a celebrity too?
Angelina replied, "She just keeps telling me to always work hard and to know that showbiz is a commitment, and I should be really serious with it. Just do what I love."
Angelina says MOM KNOWS BEST
Apparently, Sunshine also gives tips and reminders to Angelina when it comes to her finances.
"Well, my mom also advises me with that," smiled Angelina.
She added, "Kasi ako, especially during pandemic, mahilig ako mag-shop [through] online shopping.
"And there was this one time, we really online shopped too much."
It can be recalled that Angelina bought a car last year as a birthday present to herself, which is still her biggest purchase to date.
"Of course, my mom advises me to take it slow," said Angelina, "And of course, value investing your money on things that will grow."
