The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have welcomed their baby girl.
Part of the statement posted on archewell.com, the non-profit organization founded by the royal couple, read, "It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet 'Lili' Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world."
Meghan Markle gave birth to their second baby on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 11:40 a.m., at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.
The statement continued, "She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz. Both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home."
It explained as well why Harry and Meghan chose the name Lilibet Diana for their baby girl.
"Lili is named after her great grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales."
Meghan also wrote a message thanking everyone for their support and well-wishes.
She wrote, "On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we've felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family."

Baby Lili will be eighth in line to the British throne.
Since she was born in the U.S., Baby Lili will also have dual U.S-U.K. citizenship.
At press time, the couple is yet to share a photo of Baby Lili.
Prince Harry and Meghan first announced about having another baby on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2021.
In July 2020, Meghan suffered a miscarriage.
In March 2021, Meghan and Harry revealed during their interview with Oprah Winfrey they were expecting a baby girl.
The couple's firstborn, Archie, recently celebrated his second birthday.
The duke and duchess have officially stepped down from their senior royal duties in March 2020 and are now residing in Santa Barbara, California.
