Alex Gonzaga is not pregnant, for sure, not yet anyhow. But still, to hear her talk about parenthood, she seems ready for it.
At a press launch last Saturday, May 8, 2021, Alex said, "Anak naman po tayo lahat so parang minsan, nagugulat na lang tayo na when we mature or when we grow up, we realize na parang, 'Oh, we're our mom' or 'We're our dad!'
"May mga times na kahit consciously feeling mo hindi mo ginagaya parents mo, ay unconsciously nagagaya mo pala sila at nagiging ikaw pala sila kasi yun yung lagi mong nakikita.
"So nai-imitate mo talaga at nai-imbibe mo yung ginagawa nila."
Her role models are, of course, Daddy Bonoy and Mommy Pinty Gonzaga.
Mostly, the 31-year-old actress/host, a recent target of baby rumors on social media, wants to emulate her mom.
Alex said, "What I like about my mom's style is even if she's career-oriented, she's very hands-on sa amin.
"Lalung-lalo na po sa, not really yung alagaan ka, subuan ka, hindi ganun yung mommy ko, but she's very hands-on sa aming career, kumbaga sa real world.
"Talagang kasama niya kami, hindi niya kami pinapabayaan, like with my sister, even now kapag may big na gagawin siya, she's asking my mom. My mom will help her."
Alex and her husband Mikee Moranda are currently in the thick of building their own home, and even in that aspect, Mommy Pinty is in the building.
Alex continued, "Even me now na nagpapagawa kami ng bahay, my mom said, 'I will help you,' kasi nagbi-build naman din sila because of their construction also.
"[Sabi niya], 'Okay, we will construct that para at least alam mo na yung money mo is going to the right place.'
"Ganun po yung mommy ko and, I think, that's what I like and that's what I want to imitate also na talagang to be with your kids.
"You know that your parents got your back and they will really support and guide you."
