Katrina Halili talks about what she is most grateful for as a single mother to Katie
Katrina Halili admits she had worse tantrums as a kid than her daughter Katie today. The single mother said, "Ako talaga iyak nang iyak.

Katrina Halili said being a single mom has grown on her just so that she appeared at a loss when asked about its challenges.

Katrina repeated the question that PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked during her PEP Exclusives interview in September 2020, "Challenge ng pagiging single mom?"

The GMA-7 actress answered, "Hindi ko alam, sanay na kasi ako, e. Wala namang challenge."

She added as an afterthought, "Siguro pagpapalaki sa kanya."

The single mother acknowledged that her daughter Katie do throw tantrums, but even that has not been an issue with Katrina.

After all, she reasoned, her outbursts when she was a kid were much worse than her daughter's tantrums.

Katrina Halili and daughter Katie

Katrina gave birth to Katie on September 18, 2012.

The Kapuso star said she sometimes would find herself being overwhelmed, in a positive way, by the fact that she is indeed a mother.

She opened up, "Pag gabi, minsan tinititigan mo siya.

Sobrang thankful talaga."

Katrina said Katie is one of two people who have given her fresh directions in life.

The other is the late director Maryo J. delos Reyes, whom she worked with in six consecutive TV projects from 2008 to 2014.

The celebrity mom related, "Alam mo talaga iyong pasensiya mo, so wala naman ako struggles and happy rin naman ako kasi isa si Katie sa bumubuo sa pagkatao ko para magkaroon ng direksiyon.

"Simula din naman sa kanya. Sinimulan ni Direk, tinapos niya. Nabuo ako.

"Nagkaroon ng direksiyon, mas mahal mo na sarili mo, iyong trabaho mo, and gusto mo magtrabaho for her.

"And lagi mo pinagbubutihan work mo kasi gusto mo maging proud din siya sa iyo."

Katie is Katrina's daughter with former boyfriend Kris Lawrence.
