Lucy Torres's important request when she and her husband Richard Gomez planned the renovation of their Forbes Park home was for it to have a "lived-in feeling."
The congresswoman told YES! magazine, "Like, when somebody enters the house, I don't want that person to feel intimidated, as if he has to tiptoe.
"I want people to be able to sit anywhere they want."
This was how their living room looked in 2015.
More than a year later, everything is pretty much the same except that the wall now bears the portraits of the couple and their unica hija, Juliana Gomez.
Interestingly, the Christmas tree remains the main attraction in their living room.
Lucy wrote on Instagram, "It's still Christmas in our home."
She plans to finish the unwrapping of gifts this February.
And when will she take down the tree? On Valentine's Day.
