They say, "an apple doesn't fall far from the tree."
So if a girl grew up seeing her mom strutting on the runway, it won't come a surprise if she becomes a model, too.
And since genes play crucial in determining "up to eighty percent" of a person's weight and body shape, long-legged and slim moms will most probably have long-legged and slim daughters.
Here are still-visible and oh-so-familiar model/moms whose daughters have followed in their footsteps.
1. Melanie Marquez and Michelle Dee
Melanie won Miss International 1979, Face of the 80s winner in New York, USA, and Supermodel first runner-up in 1986.
The former actress has a daughter, who is 5'10" tall, whom she described a "tomboy."
Her name is Michelle Dee, who admits to being the athletic type, and loves basketball and volleyball.
Launched as the face of Herbench February of this year, Melanie's daughter has been appearing on fashion spreads since then.
2. Tweetie De Leon-Gonzalez and Sabina Gonzalez
Before Tweetie became Faye, the love interest of Vic Sotto in Okay Ka Fairy Ko, she was hailed as the first Philippine Ford SuperModel winner.

3. Lala Flores and Danica Magpantay
Lala won the Supermodel of the World Philippines in 1990.
More than two decades later, she became an in-demand celebrity make-up artist.
Among her clients are Maine Mendoza, Angel Locsin, Jodi Sta. Maria, Carla Abellana, among others.
She also produced the country's first-ever Ford Supermodel of the World.
Without any prior modeling experience, Danica Magpantay made the country proud in 2012.
At present, she is based in New York.
4. Apples Aberin and Sam Sadhwani
One of the most sought-after models in the '80s, Apples Aberin has been visible in fashion, lifestyle, and even showbiz events.
She became the president of Professional Models Association of the Philippines in the '90s, then decided to shift her focus on the corporate world.
Apples and daughter Sam, 26, have done several mom-daughter shoots.
This one's for Preview magazine's October 2015 issue for the advocacy campaign #BandForBreastCancer.
5. Phoemela Baranda and Kim Baranda
Phoem, a runner-up in the 1994 Philippine search for the Elite Model Look, is now known as a model, host, actress, and, 17 years ago, a mom to Kim Nichole.
But it was only in 2014, through Pinoy Big Brother, that Phoem introduced her daughter to the public.
Kim has been a familiar face in the fashion scene since then.
