Belle Mariano’s introduction to feminine care came naturally with puberty, guided by her mother’s gentle teachings.
At the launch of pH Care's newest variant—Ultra Pure Daily Feminine Wash—on July 30, 2025, at the Trinoma Activity Center, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sits down with one of the brand’s ambassadors, Belle Mariano, to talk about how she cares for her most intimate areas.
“Feminine care routine? Actually, I learned about feminine care around the time when I entered the puberty stage,” she recalls.
“It was my period, it was my mom that really guided me.”
Since then, Belle has stayed loyal to what she trusts.
“I use PH Care Ultra Pure. That’s one thing. I make sure that I’m always clean and yeah, basically, I always make sure that I always am clean, and I always make sure that I use something that I can really rely on.
“That is something gentle for me. That’s PH Level 5 and that’s PH Care.”
While discussing intimate hygiene is still taboo for many, Belle embraces openness.
“It’s really fun that as women, we can talk about these things,” she shares.
“I’m a sister of two younger sisters, so this is something that I want to be open about with my siblings, of course, and teach them the right hygiene, self-care.”

The Kapamilya actress wants to bust the idea that feminine care, or the concept of self-care in general, is selfish.
“I don’t think taking care of yourself makes you selfish,” she says firmly.
“It’s something that we must advocate and it’s something that we must do.”
She also challenges the misconception that sensitivity is a weakness.
“What PH Care Ultra Pure promotes, that sensitivity doesn't make you weak. It doesn’t mean that you’re sensitive, you’re weak.”
Belle clarifies, “Actually, it just makes you more aware of who you are and I think there’s power to that.”

BELLE DEFINES PURITY
When you ask Belle about purity, she doesn’t talk about spotless appearances or flawless images.
Instead, she talks about being genuine — owning your flaws, embracing your sensitivity, and standing proud of who you are.
“Staying pure, being genuine, just being proud of who you are,” she explains.
“Being self-aware. And I think that’s where confidence is rooted from. Being aware of your flaws.
“Being aware that you’re flawed doesn’t make you less human. It actually makes you really strong and beautiful.”

Although, as one of the most-followed stars of her generation, Belle admits that social media can make self-awareness tricky.
She says: “There are pros and cons… one of the things we have to deal with is being parang we’re emotionally distant from ourselves.
“So, it's important that we actually surround ourselves with people that know who we are, that will remind us of who we are, like my mom my family my friends.
“Just don't take them for granted because they're the people you see.
“The people on social media, you don't know them, right? They're covered in, I don't know, profile pictures whatsoever.
“But then by the end of the day, you're truest ones and your core talaga are the people that you know will be there for you no matter what.”
What she wants to stay pure in her life
Purity, for Belle, goes beyond just a word or a concept.
When she considers what she wants to keep ultra pure in her life, Belle doesn’t hesitate: “Everything, wow!
“Of course, um, I think there's beauty to being pure and ultra pure. There's beauty to being genuine.
“Ayan nga, if you're genuine, you know who you are, you know your core, you know your thoughts, and that's what's gonna bring you up.
“That's what makes you unique, and that's what makes you, you know, rise because you're different from the rest.”
As a reminder for all those who follow her, she concludes, “There's nothing wrong with being authentic and there's nothing wrong with being pure.”
