Comedian-actor Gene Padilla is facing a difficult time as he reveals that his mother, Lina Baldivia, has been rushed to the emergency room and is currently battling a health crisis.
Beginning on July 15, 2025, Gene turned to social media to publish a series of updates, opening up to the public about the situation.

GENE PADILLA SEEKS PRAYERS
Gene's first post was a solemn prayer, asking for relief from the pain his mother is enduring.
“Panginoon.. Pawiin Mo po ang kanyang mga sakit, Ngayon po, ang nais ko’y ginhawa po sa mga nararamdaman nya… Pagpalain Mo po siya, ngayon at araw-araw. Amen.”
The comedian followed it with a direct appeal to friends and followers: “Mga kaibigan, humihingi po ako ng konting dasal para kay Mama. [praying hands emoji]
“She’s going through something with her health right now, and I’m praying for her complete healing, strength, and comfort.
“Lord, please lay Your healing hands upon her.
“Sa mga nakakabasa nito, please include her in your prayers. Maraming salamat. [praying hands emoji]”
In another post, Gene revealed that his mother was already in the emergency room, and he once again asked for continued support in prayer.
He wrote, “Hinihiling ko po ang inyong mga dasal para sa aking ina na kasalukuyang nasa Emergency Room.
“Nawa’y bigyan siya ng Panginoon ng kagalingan at kalakasan.”
While grappling with uncertainty, the Isang Komedya sa Langit star also expressed his deep surrender to faith: “Lord, I surrender all to you… Ikaw na po ang bahala sa lahat.
“Bigyan mo po ako ng lakas sa lahat ng pagsubok sa buhay ko. I will hold on to my faith, always and forever.”
Today, July 19, Gene made time to brave the heavy rain so he could fulfill his mother’s cravings.
“Bili muna ng cravings ni mama Lina ko… ingat at sobrang maulan ngayon…”
He continued: “Bigay lahat ng gustong hilig… parang naglilihi mama ko. Daming gusto, hirap hanapin ang gusto kainin… Palakas ka mama ko….”
Though the full extent of her condition has not been disclosed, Gene continues to update his followers on his mother’s current state.
Gene is the younger brother of fellow comedian Dennis Padilla.
