A week following the Boston Marathon, the buzz of excitement and adrenaline still radiates from Hannah Pangilinan.
The daughter of actress Maricel Laxa and motivational speaker Anthony Pangilinan recently participated in the celebrated marathon event — dubbed the "world's oldest annual marathon" — last April 15 in Boston, Massachusetts, in the USA.

Hannah, crossing the finish line just a little over four hours, shared the experience with her mother, Maricel, by her side.
It was Hannah's first world major marathon, while Maricel proudly clinched her Six Star medal — an accolade that celebrates runners who participate in all six World Marathon Majors, spanning Boston, New York, Chicago, London, Berlin, and Tokyo.

A MOMENT TO REMEMBER
Recounting the moment, the singer-songwriter and content creator told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that the experience "felt like a dream."
Hannah said smiling, "I was just trying to absorb everything. Because there are so many things going on, and so many people are cheering you on, and so many things are happening, that once you actually get the chance to absorb it, tapos na!
"So, I think just enjoying the whole process. You realize, wow, 42 kilometers, tapos na pala."

PREPARING FOR THE MARATHON
To endure the marathon, Hannah dedicated herself to training, ensuring she was well-prepared for the physical challenges of the event.
"Oh my gosh, ang haba ng preparation ng marathon," she remarked.
"But I really decided to run every single day. Even if it was an easy day, a hard day, or just an easy recovery, I definitely ran every day."

Being consistent is key, according to Hannah, and having "accountability partners" to remind her of her goal also proved helpful in the short and long run.
"So, I don't give up," Hannah said about the benefits of having someone to motivate her throughout the training.
STICKING TO GOOD HABITS
With the Boston Marathon behind her, Hannah is committed to maintaining the healthy habits she practiced during training.
Aside from "running every day," Hannah also lifts weights to keep those muscles toned.
Taking care of herself, including getting an adequate amount of sleep, is also a habit Hannah intends to continue.

While still indulging in sweets occasionally, Hannah does so in moderation or offsets the calories through exercise.
Emphasizing the importance of hydration, the sister of heartthrob Donny Pangilinan underscores the necessity of consuming "lots of water."
"I just try to balance it," Hannah pointed out.
"I try to in the mornings prioritize eating breakfast and also getting my vegetables."
