Hindi nakadalo si Alexa Ilacad sa taping para sa ABS-CBN Christmas 2023 Special sa Smart-Araneta Coliseum nitong nakaraang December 13, 2023, dahil nagpositibo siya sa COVID.
Ayon kay Alexa, malaki ang panghihinayang niya dahil labis niya itong pinaghahandaan.
Kuwento niya (published as is), “To those still wondering why I was not at the Araneta Coliseum last night for the ABS-CBN Christmas Special, t’was coz I needed to isolate after testing positive for covid.
“Days prior to the Christmas Special, I was out for work only and activities in preparation for the event including rehearsals & fitting.”

Saad niya, “I was heartboken not being there to see my fans and supporters who prepared long & hard for this event. I was ready.
“I wanted to make them proud. I wanted to give them back what they deserve. I felt I let them down, including KD who wasn’t able to do the loveteam prod.”
Pero ikinagalak pa rin niya ang pagwawagayway ng kanilang mga tagahanga ng kanilang mga banners at light sticks.
Dagdag niya, “But when I saw videos of my fans happily dancing, singing, screaming with their cute heart light sticks, the giant LEDs, the glow in the dark KDLEX shirts, the banners, I definitely felt so much happiness (while it also made me tear up).
"I will 'forever be grateful' to you, our Sweethearts & Solids. Thank you for staying by for KD, thank you for the concern, the thoughtfulness, the love.
"They are all the reason why I desperately tried to prove that I was perfectly fine and capable of performing but safety protocols had to be followed.”
