Kiko shared the favorable results on Instagram earlier today, April 18, 2023. He also expressed his excitement about achieving his target weight earlier than expected, and how he was able to do it.

His caption began with a motivational quote by Lao Tzu: "Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power."
The former senator then recounted, "Last October 2022, I weighed 191 lbs.
"I decided then to undertake a weight loss regimen guided by my Doctor sister, Donna.
"We targetted to slim down to 172 lbs by April 28, 2023, Sharon and my 27th wedding anniversary. [heart emojis].
"The 172 lb target was based on my height of 6 ft and the ideal body mass index."
WEIGHT LOSS REGIMEN
Success did not happen overnight, as Kiko had to follow a strict dietary plan for six months or so, which was complemented by a set of exercises.
For his food intake, he revealed that it was a combination of dieting and a 16-hour intermittent fasting from 9:00 PM to 1:00 PM the following day.

He related, "No rice, beef or pork once a week only, mostly fish and chicken and fruits and vegetables, no soda, no sweets/desserts..."
As for exercise, Kiko had to do "daily 45 min treadmill exercises, dumbell lifting, yoga stretches among others."
RESULTS
After achieving his target, Kiko excitedly shared, "We reached the target weight of 172 lbs 10 days earlier! 19 lbs gone!
"Napansin na ni Mrs (my inspiration! [heart emojis]) na lumiit na yung tiyan ko [emojis]...
"Mas makinis na rin daw ang aking kutis sabi nung iba, [emojis]
"At may naka pansin din na nagkaroon na ulit ako ng leeg [emojis]."
Currently, Kiko's plan is to maintain his weight and figure by following through with the healthy habits he now practices, as well as making lifestyle changes.
He wrote, "Thank you Doctor Donna Simpao for the guidance and advice. We did it! [emojis]
"Now to ensure we stay the course and follow through with lifestyle changes. Tuloy tuloy lang!"
He ended his caption with another quote from a famous philosopher, Plato: "‘For the man who conquers himself is the first and noblest of all victories.’"
