Inihayag ng Hollywood actor na si Hugh Jackman, 54, na sumasailalim siya sa medical tests para alamin kung mayroon uli siyang skin cancer.
Ngayong Martes, April 4, 2023 (Philippine Time), nag-post si Hugh sa Instagram ng update tungkol sa kanyang health condition.
Makikitang may bandage sa ilong ang Australian actor.
Paliwanag ni Hugh, pinatitingin niya sa espesyalista kung mayroon siyang basal cell carcinoma.
Ang basal cell carcinoma, ayon sa mayoclinic.org, ay isang uri ng skin cancer na nakukuha dahil sa "long-term exposure" sa ultra-violet radition mula sa araw.
Isang sintomas nito ay ang pagkakaroon ng maliit na transparent bump o kaya naman ay kulay blue o brown na lesion sa balat.
Sabi ni Hugh: "Hey, guys. So, I wanted you to hear it from me just in case someone sees me on the street or whatever.
"I've just had two biopsies done. I just went to my doctor, Dr Iron, who's awesome.
"And she saw little things, could be or could not be basal cell in her opinion, she doesn't know.
"I'll find out in two or three days. As soon as I know I'll let you know."
Siniguro ni Hugh na kung basal cell carcinoma man ang maging finding ng doctor ay treatable ito.
"Just to remind you, basal cell in the world of skin cancers is the least dangerous of them all."
Sabay nagbigay siya ng paalala sa iba na maging maingat pagdating sa sun exposure.
Inaani raw kasi niya ngayon ang madalas na pagpapaaraw noong kabataan pa niya.
"However, if I can just take this opportunity, summer is coming...
"Please wear sunscreen. It is just not worth it. No matter how much you want a tan, trust me.
"This is all stuff that happened 25 years ago, its coming out now.
"Put some sunscreen on. You'll still have incredible time."
Makailang beses nang na-diagnose noon si Hugh ng basal cell carcinoma at pinatanggal niya rin ang mga ito.
Unang beses siyang nagkaroon nito noong 2013.
Noon pa man ay aktibo si Hugh sa pagbahagi ng kanyang health condition para makapagbigay ng impormasyon sa mga tao.
