Kapamilya singer Morisette Amon revealed that she and her fiancé Dave Lamar tested positive for COVID-19.
In her Instagram post this Sunday, January 16, 2022, Morisette said she got confined in the hospital because she also suffered from a separate medical condition called diverticulitis.
According to webmd.com, diverticulitis is an inflammation of pouches that can form in the intestines. Some of its symptoms include abdominal pain and fever.
Morisette elaborated (published as is): "For the past week, I was confined in the hospital since Sunday evening. both @davejlamar and I tested positive for Covid with mild flu-like symptoms, but I was admitted due to an issue in my colon called Diverticulitis.
"I had to take several IV medications which unfortunately triggered my super bad headaches then lead to vomiting..
"I couldn't even eat 'cause I'd just throw it all up."
After a week of hospital confinement, Morisette said that was able to go home for the rest of her recovery period.
She then thanked Dave, whom she also calls DJ, who looked after her at the hospital.
"This weekend, I was finally discharged with lots of meds to take with and take note but grateful that I'm allowed to continue my quarantine and healing at home.
"Thank God for DJ who was discharged earlier but stayed in the hospital room with me to keep me company, we would just play Pinoy Henyo ('cause it somewhat didn't require me using a phone that also triggered my migraines) to pass the time.
"I'm still on the road to recovery but feeling a whole lot better now."
Morisette added, "thanks to my Titos @audiegemora @davidgesmundocosico @butchgjimenez @daffydocmo for helping us out during this whole process, and everyone for sending in their prayers!"
In a separate post, Dave also showed some of his pictures of Morisette taken at the hospital.
His caption read: "What a crazy year this week has been! All I can say is thank you Jesus for your strength."
