Anne Curtis left netizens bewildered with her unconventional way of cooking rice using a "pressure cooker."
Anne revealed this during the "Especially For You" segment of It's Showtime last February 5, 2024, alongside co-hosts Vice Ganda, Jhong Hilario, and Vhong Navarro.
During the segment, Vice Ganda playfully teased Anne for not knowing how to use her fingers for rice measurement, which is the traditional way Filipinos prepare rice.
Vice Ganda told Anne, "Ganun yun! Hala, hindi mo na naman alam kasi [sa] pressure cooker, basta lang kayo nagsasalang ng tubig saka kanin!"
Joining the banter, Jhong questioned, "Kailan gumagamit ng pressure cooker sa sinaing?"
Anne threw in, "Masarap! Masarap i-pressure cooker your ano, kanin! Super soft!"
She added, "Pero no joke! Tapos ilagay niyo, chicken stock, masarap!"
The Filipina-Australian actress convincingly described cooking rice in their pressure cooker, leaving some viewers puzzled.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, a photo of a traditional pressure cooker with a valve sparked an interesting discussion: Paano ka magsasaing diyan?

Anne, however, cleared the confusion by posting also on X a photo of the "pressure cooker" they use at home.
It turned out to be a multi-cooker capable of cooking rice and even hot pot, steaming, braising, deep frying, sauteing, and slow cooking.
Her caption read: "Ito ung sinasabi ko na pressure cooker kanina guys!"
This multi-cooker is from the well-known South Korean brand Cuckoo, which is also recognized as the country's top rice cooker brand.
Anne's multi-cooker has an energy-saving smart algorithm that automatically detects the type of grain and internal temperature to ensure perfectly cooked rice every time.
Additionally, it features LED touch controls and a three-language voice guide (Korean, Chinese, English) for user convenience.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) found the exact one Anne uses on Lazada and Shopee for PHP16,216.
PEPsters, is it worth adding this to your cart?
