Marian Rivera enjoys her real-life role as a homemaker, and often describes herself as a "karir nanay."
So whether it's preparing her kids' costumes or cooking a meal for the family, she finds ways to spice things up.
During the Aji-Ginisa's Welcome to a New Veggie-licious Era event, Marian shows her "new way of cooking fries," incorporating vegetables in Zia and Ziggy's snack time.
The 39-year-old celebrity mom says, "Hindi na natin siya gagawing basta French fries or just fried fries. May gagawin tayong twist dito at napakadali lang."
The only things needed are potatoes, a shaker, oil, and Aji-Ginisa flavor seasoning mix.

MARIAN'S COOKING TECHNIQUE
HAVE FUN CUTTING THE POTATOES
While cutting the potatoes, Marian says it's more fun letting the kids choose the shapes.
"Yung anak ko kasi, medyo naglalaro kami ng mga shape, hindi lang yung basta parang fries.
"Puwede rin namang wedge. Depende sa inyo kung ano sa feeling niyo ang mas nagiging kaakit-akit sa mga anak niyo.
"Pero ako minsan, sina-suggest ko talaga lalo na kapag maliliit, may nabibili talaga na nagshe-shape talaga ng mga potatoes, e, [like] stars, may mga heart, may flower, may mga animals."
PREPARE THE FRIES
Next, she reveals how she makes the fries crispier.
"After this may technique para maging mas crispy siya, e.
"Ang ginagawa natin, icha-chop natin yung potato tapos iso-soak muna natin siya sa water.
"Pero ako ang ginagamit ko, very cold water. Sino-soak ko siya for thirty minutes.
"Pag na-soak na natin siya, ibo-boil natin siya siguro mga three-five minutes.
"After that, ife-freezer natin siya ulit for thirty minutes.
"Yun ang technique para ma-achieve natin yung talagang crispy fries," she told the guests.
COOK THE FRIES
The fries can be cooked in various ways: oven baking, air frying, and deep frying.
It is important to note that cooking time dependis on the method used.
One more tip before frying: keep the fries dry "para hindi tumatalsik."
She explains, "Kasi minsan pag wet siya tapos piniprito natin, may tendency na tumatalsik. After nito, ipiprito na natin siya."
SHAKE WITH AJI-GINISA FLAVOR SEASONING MIX
Marian's secret ingredient is Aji-Ginisa flavor seasoning mix.
Using a shaker container, she sprinkles the mix all over the potatoes.
Then Marian relates how Zia helped her discover this twist to the usual recipe.
"Actually nung ginawa ko yung recipe na ito, may mga pagkakataon kasi kami ni Zia na magkasama kami in the kitchen," she recalls.
"Tapos one time, tinikman niya nang as is talaga itong Aji-Ginisa. Sabi niya, 'Mama it tastes so good. It's a little bit like this...' in-explain niya.
"So, parang naisip ko, kung natikman niya as is ito, puwede ko tong i-experiment sa ganitong proseso."
