Remember which OOTDs made headlines in showbiz this 2017?

How about the styles that made heads turn?

What prints and colors were celebrity favorites?

What were top-of-mind choices for jeans, tops, skirts, and dresses?

Which among the brands reigned?

2017's fashion trends knew no rules.

If 2016's print-and-stripe ensembles were a bit too much for your taste, 2017 had more eclectic offerings.

Pajama dressing, for instance, was easily embraced by local fashionistas—among them, Isabelle Daza.

...or fashionable PJs—all of these became acceptable for smart-casual dress code occasions.

Active wear—jogging pants, sweat shirts, and hoodies—also qualified as work or play outfits.

After a meeting or a trip to the mall, stars could go directly to the gym.

Younger stars like Julia Barretto and Sofia Andres also liked it that these are comfortable to wear.

Meanwhile, distressed denims evolved into big-hole jeans.

Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Gigi Hadid, among others, made them look cool.

Locally, Anne Curtis and Marian Rivera were spotted wearing the uber-ripped pairs.

Skirt and sneakers remained a favorite combo.

Maine Mendoza, Rhian Ramos, and Angelica Panganiban showed how to slay in formal-meets-funky ensemble.

Pleated skirts also became all the rage, and found a fan in Heart Evangelista and Jinkee Pacquiao.

This year's trend also knew no limits as far as aesthetics and cuts are concerned.

This pink ruffled skirt was a favorite, and was usually paired with a shirt.

Zara's fuschia piece was spotted on Marian, Heart, and Anne.

Camille Prats got hers from apartment8 clothing...

...while Cheska Garcia's was from Pink Peonies.

Ruffles found their way to blouses, too.

This ruffle-sleeved cold-shoulder top from Olivia & Fifth was worn by at least three stars: Julia Montes, Erich Gonzales, and Kathryn Bernardo.

The ruffles also looked fantastic on the neckline, hence these frilled dresses became hot items.

It was also spotted on Heart last April.

Blazers made a grand comeback, but were more versatile this time.

These instant style boosters could be worn with matching trousers the way Pia Wurtzbach and Heart did.

They looked good with jeans, too...

...or even with shorts.

Check them out on Jinkee Pacquiao and Janine Gutierrez.

Summer's most preferred print—aside from the timeless floral—was gingham.

The crop top and long skirt combo, in particular, was seen on Janine, Gabbi Garcia, Kathryn, and Maine.

For T-shirts, it was a tie between Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana, which had price tags ranging from $800 to $2,100 or PHP40,000 to PHP105,000.

Sarah Lahbati and Jinkee had Gucci in several colors.

STORIES WE ARE TRACKING

Remember when Heart's Parisienne friend accused Marian of wearing a fake D & G shirt?

Marian's shopper countered with receipts and a letter from D & G's authorized seller/store in Dubai.

This year's go-to brand was D & G.

Its feminine and flattering styles made every D & G dress, skirt, trouser, shorts, swimsuit, or blouse in fun and bold prints, from flowers to ice cream to fruits, etc., the top pick.

Marian and daughter Zia Dantes, Heart, Dra. Vicki Belo and Scarlet Snow, Gretchen Barretto, and Pia Wurtzbach were actually noticed on Instagram by Stefano Gabbana, the other half of the famous Italian brand.

Jinkee and her daughters, Mary Divine Grace and Queen Elizabeth, were also big fans.
