Kelly Misa’s passion for bags goes far beyond material value.
With a collection of about a hundred bags, each piece holds a special story or represents a milestone in her life.
As she spoke about her collection, her eyes sparkled with excitement.
"My collection grew over decades... I have designer bags and functional ones, all in different shapes and sizes," Kelly shared with a smile.
"And I’ve come to think of them like my children," she added, explaining how she gives each bag equal attention.
When it comes to her style, Kelly is all about timelessness.
"I always go for classic pieces, so even my older bags, I still use them. They're not just for display—I really use them."

Kelly Misa’s First Designer Bag
When asked by PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) about the very first bag she bought, Kelly replied, "It was a Louis Vuitton Speedy 30.
"I thought it was the most expensive bag ever... I even went to Hong Kong just to buy it. It was the Damien Couture," she recalled fondly.
At the time, that bag was her most prized possession.
"I was so in love with it. I carried it everywhere, every day, for about a year. That’s when I realized my love for bags. After that, I knew I wanted more."
This purchase, made around 2006, marked the beginning of her journey into collecting.

Kelly Misa’s Most Memorable Purchase
When asked about the most precious bag in her collection, the celebrity mom quickly answered, “It would have to be my biggest purchase. Chanel. In a fashion outlet.”
Recounting the moment she bought it, she said, “Oh, my goodness…Masakit sa puso. You know what I mean?
"Like, it just hurt me to hand over my credit card. But then, that was years ago. Almost a decade ago.”
She has no regrets. It was money worth spent, and is considered a good investment.
“I know that I used it very well. And it's still in good shape. And it still looks new, actually. Because I took care of it.
"And I think it has been a very good investment. Because now, the price has doubled.”

This exclusive interview took place during a Longchamp event, which highlighted its Le Roseau line, known for its signature Bamboo clasp and oversized chapes. The price ranges from PHP18,000 for the phone case to PHP51,000 for the handbag.
Kelly remembered the Longchamp Le Pliage she owned back in college.
“It has the perfect size when I had to bring a document. And it's also sturdy and elastic. I usually use them until they break.
"And it’s light.”
When she became a mom, her preferences have changed.
“I now opt for a bigger bag," the 43-year-old fashionista said.
“Although I do love the feeling of a small bag, I know the reality is, I still have to carry a big bag along with me.
“So I'm probably, most of the time, I leave the big bag in the car and then have my baby go. But yeah, I usually have both and carry both with me.
"So the Longchamp I was checking earlier is okay with me in terms of size."
On the bags she saw at the Rustan's Shangri-La store, she gushed, "I like the pop of color. I'm the type who wears a lot of blue tops and basics, so having a bag of all the colors, orange, green, purple, blue, orange maroon, yellow, it just makes the outfit so much better to wear.”
How Kelly Misa Maintains Her Bag Collection
Part of owning a large collection is the responsibility of maintaining it.
Kelly simply has to use them so she can regulalry clean them.
“I put them in a shelf so I can see them, so I can use them easily. Because I noticed that when I put it in a dust bag and then I stuff it in the closet, I totally forget about the bag, and I end up not using it. There was a time I opened the bag, and there was mold.
"So I just keep my bags on display.
"I clean them regularly because I use them regularly.”
Kelly’s love affair with bags, much like her collection, is not just about fashion—it’s a reflection of the memories and milestones she holds dear.
