Triangle of Sadness star Dolly De Leon brought out her own brand of glamor at the Golden Globes 2023.
The 50-year-old Filipino actress was one of the nominees for best supporting actress at the American awards 80th edition held on Tuesday night, January 10, 2023 (U.S. time) at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
Dolly delivered sultriness in a corseted black leatherette dress with a plunging neckline and off-shoulder detail, which she styled with opera gloves and a pair of black patent leather pumps.
She wore a pair of earrings from the Italian brand Alessandra Camilla Milano and an ear pin from the Los Angeles-based fine jewelry brand KATKIM.
Around her fingers were rings from the American jewelry brand David Yurman and bespoke jewelry designer Edward Avedis.
Geena Rocero shared details about Dolly's Golden Globes look in an Instagram post on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 (PH time).
The California-based model and activist shared that Dolly's gown was made by the British-born Filipino fashion designer Norman René De Vera.
Norman is currently the image and design director of AZ Factory, the Richemont-backed luxury brand founded by the late Israeli designer Alber Elbaz.
Previously, he did stints at various fashion houses, notably Céline, Lanvin, Nicolas Ghesquière’s Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, and Versace.
The New York-based stylist LJ Perez, whose celebrity clients included Lizzo, Shawn Mendez, Doja Cat, and Charli XCX, worked on Dolly's Golden Globes red carpet look.
Dolly made history as the first Filipino to be nominated in a major American award show. She was among the nominees for the female category of Best Supporting Performance in a Motion Picture.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress Angela Bassett ultimately took home the award. The other nominees are Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin), Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything Everywhere All at Once), and Carey Mulligan (She Said as Megan Twohey).
