Isabelle Duterte is unquestionably a contender for Debutante of the Year.

She made her grand entrance earlier tonight, January 19, at the Rigodon Ballroom of The Peninsula Manila, clad in a voluminous Michael Cinco gown.

Some netizens were quick to notice the gown's resemblance to the much talked-about "Cinderella dress" of Aishwarya Rai at the 70th Cannes Film Festival in May 2017.

This gown was also the inspiration behind the bridal gown of an Indian princess who married in November 2017.

She picked the color sapphire, and asked Cinco to put "a lot of crystals."

On Instagram, the designer said, "It’s made of layers of impalpable tulle and with intricate bead works of thousands of Swarovski crystals."

Isabelle's gown color was a combination of both.

Cinco called it "ombré cobalt blue," and its hue changed depending on the lights.

It was also studded with "full degrade Swarovski crystals."

The cost for Cinco's ball gowns range from 800,000 to 5,000,000 million in pesos.
