Congratulations are in order for Jhong Hilario for his remarkable achievement of obtaining a college degree at age 46.
Not only did the TV host and Makati City councilor accompish his parents' lifelong dream that he complete his studies, Jhong graduated magna cum laude.
On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, the It's Showtime host proudly donned his graduation cap and gown, marking the culmination of his studies in Political Science at the Arellano University.
Jhong shared his graduation photo on Instagram on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
In addition, Jhong shared through a vlog on YouTube his college journey, which included his participation in online classes tackling the subjects of Mathematics, Physical Education, and Social Science, among many others.
In his vlog citing his parents and daughter Sarina, Jhong said, "Of course, masaya dahil pangarap ng parents ko ito dati sa akin, yung makatapos ng pag-aaral.
"And after ilang years ko pa bago nagawa. Pero at least, napakita ko pa sa kanila na tayo'y nagtiyaga, tayo'y nag-aral para matupad yung pangarap nila sa akin dati na makapagtapos.
"So, nauna lang yung pagiging dancer natin, yung pagiging actor, pagiging host sa showbiz bago matapos yung pag-aaral.
"Pero at least, mareregaluhan ko sila. And of course, para kay Sarina, sa pamilya ko."
The vlog also showed Jhong teaming up with the Caloocan City Councilor Leah Bacolod for their thesis on how best to implement the clearing operations in Barangay 176.
