The year is almost over and 2018 is just around the corner.
While we try to list down our fashion and beauty-related resolutions for the coming year, let's look back at some of the best beauty trends that rocked 2017.
BALAT LANG MAKEUP. "Glass Skin" was the latest skincare trend from South Korea that took over the world.
Refinery29 described glass skin as a "perfectly smooth and intensely hydrated complexion with an all-over sheen." In short, just flawless skin.
This year, many celebs—including Sarah Lahbati, Bea Alonzo, and Kathryn Bernardo—opted for the "balat lang" makeup look, which is easily achieved through a combo of simple nude eye makeup, a hint of blush, and lip tint.

BLUNT BOBS. Bob haircuts also made it big this year, with ABS-CBN stars Anne Curtis-Smith, Ylona Garcia, and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach leading the trend. The bob looked just as seamless even with a wig.

COLORFUL SHADOWS. Smokey and natural eye makeup still ranked high among our favorite celebrities' go-to beauty look.
But budidng singers Claudia Barretto, Leila Alcasid, and Miss World 2013 Megan Young went a little playful and added a puff of color.

FLUSHED BLUSH. Blush isn't just for your cheeks. It can also be used on your nose!
Just a hint of blush on the bridge of your nose makes your face look more alive, just like what Nadine Lustre, Coleen Garcia, and Erich Gonzales did.

RINGS AND HIGH-PONY. Last August, Ariana Grande made a stop at Manila for her Dangerous Woman tour.
Her sleek, high-pony upgraded with iron rings inspired some of our celebrities to do the same, including Kapamilya stars Andrea Brillantes and Liza Soberano.
