Lorin Gutierrez Bektas reveals that she was determined to get her nose done, but changed her mind after learning how much the procedure costs.
In a recent TikTok live, the 21-year-old daughter of Ruffa Gutierrez with ex-husband Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas, talks about her beauty concern while doing a make-up tutorial.
“I start calling plastic surgery offices in L.A. [Los Angeles], just curious, ‘Oh, what would the cost be?’
“Please guess how much these people are quoting me: seventy thousand dollars. Isn’t that like PHP3 million?
"Excuse me, I would rather look like Pinocchio for the rest of my life than pay that money.”
Based on current exchange rate, USD70,000 is equivalent to PHP3.9 million.
Ruffa Gutierrez’s eldest daughter Lorin says she was all set to get her nose done until she discovered how much it would cost.

LORIN bektas on getting a NOSE job
Instead of shelling out the hefty amount for a nose job, Lorin says she would rather spend that money on branded items.
She elaborates, “That was a sign from God to be like, ‘Girl, no.’ Like, ‘Humble yourself. You are not getting your nose done. Like, hell, no.’
“Seventy thousand dollars, I’ll buy myself, literally, three Birkins, and have my big nose gladly. What the F!”
She then goes into detail and explains what bothers her about her nose.
“The thing with the Philippines, my nose is like not a Filipino nose.
“So, I feel like they wouldn’t know how to do it,” she states, pertaining to cosmetic surgeons abroad.
Lorin also believes that her nose doesn’t require significant alterations.
“This is another thing. I understand my nose is not awful. I’m not saying my nose is awful.
“There’s just like slight tweaks. It’s very, like, small, what I want to be done. I’m not asking them to break my nose and remove the bone.
“I want it the most subtle, subtle differences, and I told them that when I was getting the quote.
“So, for the most subtle difference, you’re gonna charge me with $70,000? Do I look like Jeff Bezos…” she quips, pertaining to the American tycoon who owns Amazon.
Lorin has gotten suggestions to have her nose done in Turkey, where her father resides.
“I don’t know if I might. If I get one, I’ll vlog it. Trust I’ll vlog it for you, guys.”

This beauty concern also makes the advertising student think about changing her course at Pepperdine University in California.
“I think I wanna be a plastic surgeon. Because I think, plastic surgeons make bank. It would be fun.”
She mentions that other medical fields, such as neurosurgery, carry more pressure than being a plastic surgeon.
From this perspective, Lorin explains that she could handle the pressure of being a plastic surgeon better than the pressure of working in a more serious medical specialization.
She adds, “If you’re a plastic surgeon, the worst thing that could happen is just you make someone pangit.”
