Andi Manzano is often complimented for her glowing skin—but as it turns out, her skin-care routine is surprisingly simple.
"I don’t do the Korean skin care," the 38-year-old celebrity mom tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at an event held by Cetaphil.
Korean skin care is often known for its elaborate multi-step routine, but Andi keeps things minimal.
"I just put essence, and then sometimes serum, if I remember, and then moisturizer. That’s my skin care at night.
"In the morning, it’s the same—plus sunblock."

The one thing she wishes she knew earlier in her skin-care journey is the value of daily sunblock.
“For me talaga, I realized this late in life because before, you know, skin care wasn’t really a thing, di ba?
"We’d just put moisturizer and that was it.
"And they weren’t even promoting sunblock."

Andi’s fair skin is more vulnerable to sunburn because it has less melanin—the pigment that offers some natural protection against UV damage.
Over time, prolonged sun exposure can lead to the breakdown of collagen and elastin, making her more susceptible to sunspots, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of premature aging.
Hence, these days, sun protection has become a non-negotiable for her—and her children.
"I’m actually a very active person. I go to the beach a lot, I play golf.
"So now, I make sure to apply sunblock daily.
"Even my kids wear it when they go to school, especially for P.E. [Physical Education], when they’re outdoors.”

Andi says she constantly reminds her three daughters—Olivia, 10, Amelia, 6, and Lucia, who’s turning two on May 11, 2025—that skin-care starts with protection.
“For me, it’s really about protecting your skin,” she concludes.
