Can a whipped, prebiotic-infused moisturizer really deliver up to 72 hours of hydration?
That was the question I set out to answer when I spent a week testing Two L(i)ps’ Juice Prebiotic Body Balm, a moisturizer that not only promises long-lasting hydration but also helps strengthen the skin’s defense against bad bacteria.
For reference, I have normal skin—neither too dry nor too oily—but I always make sure to include a good moisturizer in my routine.
It’s my skinc-are essential, keeping my skin balanced, soft, and healthy.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS AND PACKAGING
The soft pastel pink color and minimalist design appeal to my aesthetic.
The tube is sturdy and easy to squeeze, making each application effortless.
Upon opening the container, I was immediately drawn to the balm’s light, whipped texture.
It has a pleasant fragrance that isn’t overpowering.

APPLICATION AND RESULTS
Day 1
The instructions recommend applying the balm to freshly cleansed skin, focusing on dry areas, like the elbows, knees, and feet.
From my first application, I was impressed by how it glided over my skin.
Its airy texture was absorbed quickly, leaving a silky, nourished finish.
My skin immediately felt smoother, and after just one use, the dry patches on my elbows and knees were noticeably softer.
Day 2
The balm’s moisture-locking ability was impressive—by the following day, my skin remained soft and supple even after extended wear.
Its lightweight formula was ideal for both day and night use.
MIDWEEK
I noticed a significant improvement in my skin’s overall texture—both on my face and body, as the product’s multipurpose formula simplifies my skin-care routine.
One of its stand-out features was its ability to soothe dry patches and irritation, especially in areas prone to roughness or sensitivity due to environmental factors.
My elbows and knees, which are usually dry and in need of extra care, felt noticeably softer than they had in months.
DAY 5
By the fifth day, I saw how the balm adapted to different weather conditions.
On warmer days, its lightweight formula remained breathable and non-greasy—a relief since some moisturizers can feel heavy and suffocating in humid environments.
On cooler days, however, I found that applying a slightly thicker layer was necessary.
While this wasn’t a major drawback, it made me realize that those with extremely dry skin might need to layer this balm with a richer moisturizer for optimal results.

THE VERDICT
By the end of the week, my skin felt noticeably healthier and glowing.
The prebiotic ingredients seemed to do a good job as a skin barrier. I didn’t experience any irritation or breakouts at all.
With a sulfate- and paraben-free formulation, the balm proved to be gentle and safe for daily use, even on sensitive parts of the skin.
Its consistency remained consistently smooth—not too thick or runny—making application effortless and ensuring it blended seamlessly into the skin.
Can this prebiotic body balm replace your moisturizer?
The answer depends on your skin type.
If you have normal to slightly dry skin like mine, then yes—this balm provides ample hydration, keeping your skin soft and supple throughout the day.
However, if you have extremely dry skin, you may need to layer it with a richer moisturizer.
I liked the slight sheen it gave my skin, but it may not be ideal for those who prefer a completely matte finish.
The hydration is certainly impressive, though it doesn’t quite live up to the full 72-hour claim—I found myself needing to reapply after sweating.
While it may not fully replace an intensive moisturizer for severely dry skin, it works exceptionally well as an everyday hydrating balm.
I would definitely repurchase it and recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and lightweight moisturizer without specific skin concerns.
