Once seen as primarily an activity for women, self-care routines are now being embraced by everyone, with more men appreciating their benefits.
Among them is ABS-CBN actor Jameson Blake, who follows his own self-care practices.
For Jameson, the increasing acceptance of self-care among men is a positive move towards a more inclusive view of health and wellness.
"I believe it applies to everyone regardless of gender," he explained in an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on January 29, 2025.
The interview happened after the press launch for his new endorsement of Premier Drip's S-Acetyl Glutathione capsules at White Space Events Place in Makati City.
He continued, "We all want to be healthy and self-care is definitely part of it. If we learn to improve that field in our lives, it will translate to better things in life as well."
JAMESON BLAKE: MINIMALIST SKINCARE
Following this belief, Jameson maintains a simple skincare routine as part of his personal self-care program.
The Kapamilya actor said, "I lean more towards the minimalist approach. Facial wash during shower time, moisturizer at night, and lately I've been using some eye cream in the morning and at night."
Since he has a minimalist approach to skincare, he boosts it by taking care of himself from within through supplements.
Jameson said, "I just started taking it for about a week, it's been giving me a refreshing effect that helps me get along with my day...
"Along with its refreshing qualities, I don't feel as groggy waking up in the morning and my face isn't dry as much as before. Overall, I feel more healthy."

Meanwhile, Jameson shared his gratitude for his newest endorsement.
He told PEP, "I felt surprised and honored upon hearing the news. PremierDrip has always been family to me and I'm glad they trust me to be their ambassador.
"Endorsing something skincare related, I believe, is an ideal attribute to my career. It's nice to see everything turn out great."
As a celebrity ambassador, he ensures that he tries the product first before endorsing it, especially since his name and face will be associated with it.
"It's better to be connected to what you're promoting. It doesn't feel complete without personally trying a product.
"It makes what you do more genuine and it'll be easier to connect to your audience."
