Malaking insecurity para sa ibang tao ang pagkakaroon ng malaki o malapad na noo.
Katulad na lamang ni Beth Halsey, isang 27 anyos na babae mula sa Essex, England.
Buong buhay niya, insecurity ni Beth ang kanyang malapad na noo. Madalas nga raw niyang takpan ito ng fake bangs.
Kaya nang madiskubre niya na maaari itong mapaliit sa pamamagitan ng Hairline Lowering (Halo) surgery o forehead reduction surgery, hindi na siya nagpatumpik-tumpik pa na sumailalim sa procedure.
Hindi rin siya nanghinayang gumastos ng 9,000 pounds o PHP638,000.
Dinokumento ni Beth ang kanyang forehead reduction journey sa Instagram.
“My forehead had been my biggest insecurity ever since I can remember,” sabi niya sa video.
“And after finding out about hairline lowering surgery through social media back in October [2023], I travelled to London for consultation…”
Isa raw itong magandang balita para kay Beth na akala niya ay hair transplant lamang ang kanyang option.
Ipinakita ni Beth sa video ang mabusising consultation with the cosmetic doctor kung paano isasagawa ang procedure sa kanya.
Makalipas ang limang buwan, Marso 2024, dumating ang araw na pinakahihintay ni Beth.

Paano ba ginagawa ang forehead reduction surgery?

Kinailangan niyang uminom ng painkillers dahil nakaranas siya ng swelling.
Makalipas ang pitong araw, bumalik sa doktor si Beth para tanggalin ang kanyang tahi.
Bagamat namumula pa ang sugat sa kanyang anit, naging emosyunal si Beth. Sinabi niyang masaya siya sa resulta.

Masaya rin ang doktor na nagsagawa ng procedure kay Beth, at ipinost din niya sa sariling Instagram account ang naging journey ni Beth.
Ang post ng doktor na si Greg Bran: "Beth came to see me as her forehead has been the biggest insecurity for as long as she can remember. We performed HALO and a brow lift under sedation. She has also been documenting her journey on her socials.

ADDRESSING BASHERS
Sa kanyang Instagram Story ngayong Martes, March 19, nag-post ng reaction si Beth sa mga bashing na natatanggap niya sa social media.
Idinetalye niya ang pangungutya sa kanyang malapad na noo. Pero indikasyon daw iyon para sa kanya na tama ang desisyon niyang sumailalim sa surgery.
Pinasalamatan niya ang supporters na nagtatanggol sa kanya at tiniyak sa kanilang maayos ang kanyang lagay.
“They’re not saying anything I haven’t already heard! The big forehead jokes are hilarious because it’s like, yes, well done, that’s the whole point. But they also just make me even happier that I had surgery.
“I chose to share my story on social media so I was already prepared for shitty comments.
"But I did it because that’s how I originally found out about this surgery and it’s changed my life, so if I can help just one person then that’s worth it.”
