Gerald Anderson seems to be making the most out of his summer vacation.
The Budoy actor said it was his first time to spend Holy Week in the Philippines since he joined showbiz.
It’s also his first time to enjoy summer in the country since he used to do shows abroad during the past years.
“Ang saya. Ito yung first Holy Week ko dito sa Pilipinas simula noong naging artista ako. Kasi lagi kaming may tour kaya first time kong mag-Holy Week dito sa Pilipinas,” he reiterated in a short interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during his Jollibee stores tour last Tuesday, April 9.
So as early as March, which was his birth month, Gerald started to visit local beaches to beat the scorching heat of the sun.
For his birthday, the 24-year-old actor organized a beach activity for his Star Magic family in La Union.
He also went scuba diving in Anilao, Batangas, where he was spotted with his rumored girlfriend and fellow Star Magic talent Maja Salvador.
Following this, Gerald went to Pampanga and Nuvali, Laguna to do wakeboarding with his celebrity friends.
“Talagang ramdam na ramdam ko ang init ngayong summer!” Gerald exclaimed after enumerating the places he's visited so far.
Among the summer activities he has done, Gerald enjoys wakeboarding the most.
“Sa ngayon, medyo naaadik na ako sa wakeboarding!” he confessed.
When asked why he seems to have shifted his preference from basketball to wakeboarding this summer, Gerald answered, “Ang saya nung init, e, yung summer feel. Kaya gusto ko sa labas.”
PEP then curiously asked who influenced him to try wakeboarding.
Gerald recalled, “Nagwe-wakeboard ako noong dati pa.
“‘Tapos, si Enchong [Dee] kasi laging nag-i-invite. Ini-invite niya akong mag-wakeboard kaso hindi kami natuloy.
“Once natuloy kami, ayun medyo naaadik na kami.
“Kahapon nag-wakeboard kami nila Sam [Milby] naman.
“Medyo naaadik na talaga ako.
“Nagwe-wakeboard ako para sa summer feel.”
Summer has just begun and Gerald still has plans to do more wakeboarding.
He even wished in conclusion, “Sana may time ako, ang dami ko pang [gustong puntahan].”
