Business is booming for singer/actress Vina Morales, her brother Frederico, and sisters Sheryl, Sheila, and Shaina Magdayao.
Their family’s salon business, Ystilo, is celebrating its 14th anniversary this year.
On August 21 and 22, they held a hairstyling seminar/demonstration at Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan with renowned hairstylist Gary Sun.
This, according to Vina, is their way of bringing in new styles and improving the quality of services they give to customers.
Gary Sun became a unanimous choice for the Magdayaos to become their salon’s creative consultant because of his illustrious background in hairstyling
“He is one of the top hairdressers in Hong Kong and he has won the Avant Garde Category of Hairdressing competition in 2002,” says Vina.
“And he has done na rin mga hairstyles for international fashion shows like Gucci, YSL [Yves Saint Laurent], marami pa, e.
“Magaling talaga siya, tahimik at mahiyain nga lang.”
“We’re really very excited to have him kasi siya ang magdadala ng mga bagong styles sa Ystilo, so iyan talaga ang dapat abangan.”
For many celebrities, juggling showbiz, family, and an entrepreneurial career at the same time can take quite a toll.
But how is Vina able to do all of it so swiftly and smoothly?
“You know, ang importante talaga is nagtutulungan kami dito na pamilya. We always help each other as family talaga.
“We’re also very lucky to have very good partners—the franchise owners, all the staff—talagang we always work hard together hand in hand.
“And we also make sure that we always give quality services that are very affordable para siyempre... kasi gusto namin satisfied ang customers para parati silang babalik at babalik sa’yo.”
