While the rest of the country was quietly observing Holy Week in early April 2006, four singing champs—Sarah Geronimo, Rachelle Ann Go, Mark Bautista, and Raymond Manalo—were busy touring Canada for a concert series entitled Night of the Champions.
It wasn't all work for the group, though. During the 18-day stay in Canada (April 10-27), their "mother hen," guide, and boss June Torrejon made certain the singers visited grand tourist attractions like Niagara Falls.
In May, the four youngsters were off again. This time they went to Alaska, where they stayed for four days (May 10-13) and staged a successful show in the state's largest city, Anchorage. "Ang lamig po do'n!" Sarah says. It was her first time to visit the land of Eskimos and igloos.
For the four champions, the Canada and Alaska concerts provided a chance not only to entertain kababayans abroad, but also to discover wonderful new places.
