Mark Bautista is new Le Froge image model

Le Froge unveils its new billboard showcasing the 25-year old singer.

In Mark Bautista's first billboard, he poses behind a provocative photo (the cover of his album Every Now And Then) and the tagline "Every now and then, a new Mark of fashion emerges" is displayed on top.

When Le Froge decided to revamp its image from being a men's sportswear brand to a clothing brand for fashionable and trendy teens, they knew exactly who could exude that vibe—pop heartthrob Mark Bautista.

The young pop singer happily announced his endorsement for a clothing line during a press conference held last May 31 at Club O located at ABS-CBN compound.

According to Mark, he couldn't believe that he would finally be endorsing Le Froge, a known clothing line. "Sobrang [natutuwa] ako, kasi sa daming artistang pwedeng kunin, ako yung kinuha ng Le Froge. And since first na endorsement ko ito sa clothing line, siyempre, sobrang proud din ako na may nag-offer sa akin ng ganito," revealed the 25-year old singer.

Mark admitted that when he was still starting in showbiz, he never really thought about endorsing clothes and seeing himself gracing one of the billboards along EDSA.

"Nag-iimagine ako, alam mo yung imposibleng mangyari, iniisip kong ganun. Well, dumating siya so parang blessing talaga siya," said Mark.

He also added, "Talagang God is so good na talagang binibigyan niya ako ng mga projects na ganito. May mga bagay kasi na hindi mo pinaplano na dumarating na lang. Tapos may times na pinaplano mo, yun yung mga hindi talaga nangyayari."

Aside from being the new image model of this clothing line, Mark is also pleased to share that Le Froge has been helping him in his music career. "Tinutulungan nila ako sa lahat ng bagay, like sa album, itong show na ‘to, silang nag-idea, nag-concept, and tumutulong sila sa mga mall shows, lahat. And itong cover ng album ko isasama nila sa billboard. 'Yan ung magiging itsura ng billboard daw."

WHOLESOME BILLBOARD. Speaking of billboard, Mark was also excited with the outcome of the billboard. When asked to give his reaction upon seeing his billboard, he gushes, "Masarap! Kasi parang, ano, dream 'yan ng bawat [tao na] nasa showbiz, na magkaroon ng sariling billboard."

However, the endorsement on Le Froge banks on his wholesome image unlike his third album that has him posing provocatively in various shots. But Mark took it all in stride.

He explained, "Wholesome [ang image] and kita mo naman yung picture, pa-cute masyado. Kasi pang-boys' teens yung market. Kakaiba lang siya dun sa album kasi seryoso."

HEARTTHROB HITMAKER. Right now, music lovers note that Mark's third album, Every Now and Then, is in a tight race with Dennis Trillo's self-titled debut album.

Not only do both heartthrob singers promise good music in their albums, it's also noticeable that both of their covers have similar concepts of presenting the singer as a sexy matinee idol.

Mark reveals that this similarity stems from the fact that he and Dennis have the same photographer for their album covers. "Well, nakita ko na yung album niya [Dennis]. May mga picture siya na nag-topless siya, kasi pareho kami ng photographer, si Ronnie Salvacion, so parang same concept and all that."

NOOD KA MUNA!

However, Mark couldn't give a comment on the album itself because according to him, "Nakita ko yung laman nung album, pero hindi ko pa napakinggan."

The 25-year old singer is not only active in music, he is also visible in movies and TV shows. In fact, Mark played a brief yet important role in the Piolo Pascual-Regine Velasquez movie Paano Kita Iibigin. He has also starred in the defunct TV series Sana Maulit Muli and Sarah, The Teen Princess, wherein he worked with fellow Star For a Night finalist Sarah Geronimo.
